Situated in an orchard on a working farm close to an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the Holiday Home is the perfect location for visiting stately mansions, country houses and mediaeval castles as well as enjoying the breathtaking scenery of the North York Moors National Park.
The pretty village of Nunnington is close to Nunnington Hall, a grade 1 listed mansion, in the care of the National Trust. Other places of interest are Duncombe Park, Castle Howard and Sledmere House, all with in easy driving distance from our Holiday Home. The countryside around varies from open woods and fields of the Vale of Pickering to the rugged moorland of the North York Moors with its purple heather and gentle winds coming in from the Yorkshire coast. The coastal towns of Whitby and Scarborough are again within easy distance offering a choice of historic landmarks and seaside fun. Perfect for that heartening meal of fish and chips after a brisk walk along the seafront!
If you are looking for something more sedate, why not take a train ride through the North York Moors on their very own steam railway which runs from Pickering to Grosmont and Whitby. Well worth a nostalgic visit.
There are lots of things to do while you are our guests and we would be pleased to offer any advice on where to go and what to do.
